Principal's Message

Dear Sarah Dyer Barnes Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!  I am honored to be the new principal of Sarah Dyer Barnes Elementary School!  This is my 23rd year in education and my 8th year as part of the Johnston Public Schools.  Barnes is a great school and I am excited to be a part of such a dedicated and supportive community. 

The Barnes staff feels strongly about working together with families to support student growth.  We firmly believe that every child can excel and that communication between home and school will be critical to our success.   It is truly a team effort.  I look forward to partnering with you and building these important relationships.
