Principal's Message

At  Sarah Dyer Barnes Elementary, we strive to ensure all our students are engaged in an environment focused on high expectations and a positive culture. Every students' academic, social, and emotional development is a priority to our school community and we strongly believe that in order for this to happen there must be a solid partnership between home and school. In order for us to sustain continued growth in student  success, it is important that families work together with teachers to support strong educational values and embrace positivity so that we can we can design and build the most beneficial learning experience for Sarah Dyer Barnes students. We encourage parents to take an active role in the education of their child and to attend school-wide events, evening meetings and join the PTO.

Sarah Dyer Barnes teachers and staff work hard to plan daily lessons and instruction where students collaborate and communicate in pairs and small groups where they can try out their ideas, share and brainstorm their learning and actively ask questions so they are prepared to succeed as global citizens.
